The third attempt of the devil.

Luke 4:"If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself from here" He shall give His angels charge over You to keep You in all your ways and in their hands, they shall bear You up lest You dash Your feet against a stone"

Again the If statement tempting Jesus to proof what the enemy already knows. In this the enemy also tempt our identity. He know that some does not know their identity in Christ Jesus.

The second part is a temptation to ending of life prematurely. In this the enemy is often, very sadly, successful in whispering to people, who does not know their authority and the power they have in Christ, yet in deceiving them to end their lives prematurely. They do not know that they was already forgiven before they were born and they only needed to repent and surrender their hearts to the Lord. Yet with unrepented sins the persons not also loose their lives but also gives the enemy the ultimate sacrifice which is life. God gave us life and every breath we breathe is of God.
