1 Cor 11 Paul wrote about head coverings for woman. He describe that a woman needs to have a symbol of authority on her head. Yet if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her, for hair is given to her as a covering. Verse 16 further reads, "We have no such custom nor do the churches of God".
Saying a woman needs to have a covering over her hair to be able to pray and to prophesy, if it should be required, then it would be laws and rituals. That is not of the Lord as the Lord requires the heart posture and not the external, neither is it wrong or a sin if you do not wear a head covering. In the Muslim tradition however it is required as law for woman to wear a head coverings.
1 Cor 7:19 "Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters. Nor tradition nor enslavement of traditions. You were bought for a price, do not become a slave to man, referring to traditional laws of man.
The Lord looks at the heart just like He said to the Pharisees in Mathew 15.Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Cleaning the outside of the cup but the inside is still unclean. It is what come out of the mouth, that defiles a man, what you speak comes from the heart: murder, adultery, wickedness, jealousy, cursing, etc.., not the outside or what you eat or take in, as it goes to the stomach. Traditions are like the outside just a symbol but not a heart posture showing that a person does something but it is the heart posture of a person what the Lord is looking at.
So what does the heart say? Does wearing a piece of clothing on your head change the way you pray or correct your heart posture or make a person feel closer to the Lord? Not who you appear to be on the outside but to have the inside visible as on the outside, fruits are showing. Actions and speech can be smooth but the fruits are visible.
Your heart need to respect and honor the Lord.
